A weekend where Suzie isn’t off doing five million different things? Call the doctor, something must be wrong. She just didn’t feel the energy to go off and do her normal things. She didn’t feel the current excitement in things, it had become monotonous or something. The seekers of her advice didn’t seem to be feeling this weekend, not sending in as many questions. Could that be a reflection of how well she’s been doing her job? A part of her would like to think so. Even practicing her lines for the Thaumaturgic Thespians didn’t seem to get anything out of her.

Which she would normally be quite diligent about. But she just didn’t feel like going over the same lines over and over again for possibly hours on end. The option of her going to the library to study is just out of the question. She didn’t feel like reading either, as it just felt like a boring thing to do today. Hanging out with her friends wasn’t much of an option. They were all off doing their own things, leaving Suzie on her own. She’ll just have to salvage her weekend, and hopefully breath new life into her social life.

However, it is a Hogsmeade weekend. Meaning that there is something different she could pursue, instead of what feels so monotonous. Something new in a stale world, as it were. Getting herself dressed in clothes that she had purchased over the Summer, Suzie made her way out of the Hufflepuff common room. Just a little before lunch time. The smells coming from the kitchen just caused the Hufflepuff sixth year to become hungry. So she decided it would be best to stop off at the Great Hall and have a quick lunch, before heading off towards the village.

Walking down the path, Suzie’s mind started to go through the many activities she could partake in, down at Hogsmeade. Well, she can stop off at the joke shop. See what sort of activity they provide. Though she isn’t too sure about that, jokes and pranks aren’t really her thing. Maybe take a tour around the village? She hasn’t exactly learned the ins and outs of it, despite having been coming down to the village off and on again for the past few years. She’d normally be off hanging out with friends here. Which caused Suzie to begin thinking; when was the last time she came to Hogsmeade alone?

Taking a brisk stroll around the village seemed fine, just taking in the sights as it were. She wondered if other wizarding villages were like this. So rustic and genuine. Though lacking a bit on the fashion department. Suzie figured this place could use a face lift, making it more modern. Instead of having wooden buildings, go with like a nice brick cottage or something? Just something this side of the century. Walking around, nothing did strike out to her. There wasn’t anything going on, nothing at all… just so bored.

Instead of returning to the castle and wallow in some sort of self-pity, Suzie decided to head to the Three Broomsticks Inn. A popular destination for students to go and have fun. Maybe that’ll kick start something within her? Just give her something to do and get over how dull this weekend seems to be. Opening the front door, the loud talking and warmth just flooded her. Lively as always. Walking into the main area, Suzie rubbed her arm, unsure of what to do. Maybe start off with a drink, and ponder her options from there. Walking up towards the counter, Suzie wore a soft smile on her face.

“Can I have a Butterbeer, please and thank you.” she ordered, turning to gaze upon the crowded inn. Students from all four schools seemed to have converged here. Surprising. Or not. Suzie isn’t exactly sure. Turning back towards the counter, she smiled and nodded at the individual behind it. Taking her mug of Butterbeer, she began to walk through the masses, looking for a place to sit. Holding her drink with both hands, Suzie started to feel indecisive on where she should sit. Join one of the many groups here, maybe make a new friend… or search for a table unoccupied and sit alone.

Her indecisiveness when it came to making her own choices seemed to be something she wants to amend in the near future. She didn’t want to just have others make her choices for her, that didn’t make seem like much of a life for her. Because it seemed to Suzie that she always followed along with others, being much more content with others leading and making those choices for her. Could that be a reason she hasn’t met the one? No, that can’t be right. There is just too much to factor in.

In the end, Suzie was able to find that solo table she searched for. Well, in a way. There is someone else there, but the rather attractive guy sitting there seemed to be alone. Though she could be mistaken and he is just waiting for his friends to return or arrive. Maybe even a girlfriend… Might as well chance it, right? Her feet had grown tired anyway. Approaching the table with a warm smile, Suzie motioned towards the empty chair at the table. “Do you mind if I sit down? It’s fairly crowded in here.”

Like the wind, Suzie’s attention comes and goes. One moment she’ll be interested in something, but may become bored and will need to acquire a new activity. Else she becomes quite the unpleasant individual to speak to. Though she isn’t always so decisive in her actions. Doubt beset her and cause her to question her actions. Are they the right choice, what sort of impact will it make? However she always has to keep her mind on the move. The hufflepuff girl finds that staying still won’t help her, and she might miss something. Always running around, doing this or that.

You could say that she only joined all the club activities that she’s in simply so she has something to do. From the moment she wakes up, till the moment she falls asleep, she tries to stay busy. Going to classes, spending time with friends, sometimes being forced to study, going to her various club activities; which ends with her going back to the dorm and sleeping. Just to repeat the next day. Though there aren’t daily meetups for the clubs that she’s in, she can easily fill the time with something else. She might even on occasion study without being forced to.

Or go and meet new people, which could end up with her falling for the latest person who crossed her path. Suzie is just looking for her one true love, yet it’s never meant to be. But her optimism is too much to be deterred from continuing her search. Why should she be? As a lesson in life is to always go after what your heart desires. At least that is what she learned from her many romance novels and movies. Much to the annoyance of her younger siblings. But they just cannot understand, they are too young.

No club meetings today, so the afternoon and evening were to herself. Since it’s still the afternoon, she’ll put in some work into her advice column. Start working through a backlog of advice seekers that has been stacking up. She could only get through so much at a time, so it was bound to happen at some point. Taking her pages and letters, she decided she didn’t want to spend it in the library, or even inside the castle. It’s a nice day outside, still chugging through Spring. So Suzie had decided she is going to write outside, find a nice little atmospheric spot and let the words flow.

A change of scenery can help the ideas flow, so it isn’t so strange to constantly move about when you write. It also happened to be a thing she’s good at, and enjoys doing. Walking down towards the Black Lake, Suzie had a small smile and her hair done up in a ponytail. The slight breeze causing her ponytail to softly move with the wind. Felt nice, instead of dealing with the rain and cold. She’d rather not have to deal with either of those, as she enjoys the sun far more.

Suzie arrived at the Lake, glancing about and noticing that other students were around as well. Skipping rocks, chatting and having an interesting time on this fine Spring afternoon. Approaching the side of the lake, Suzie found a fairly smooth looking boulder and took a seat. Her feet dangling off the side of the rock, she took out her fountain pen and the paper which had been given to her asking her for advice. Taking out another piece of paper, placing it on the rock, she began to write down some ideas that popped into her head, about how to improve the situation being asked about. “Maybe you shouldn’t keep your feelings inside, and just tell her how you feel.” she thought aloud, writing down the exact same words upon the page.

Suzie hasn’t always been so keen to go to the library and study. But her more smarter friends usually dragged her along. Telling her to focus more on reader than on the people walking around her. A comment directed more at the fact that she’s more interested in talking with the guys then sitting down and reading a book. But today she had come to the library on her own. No study groups or anything! The reason for her venturing into the library on her own is quite simple too. She decided she wanted to find some helpful books in case anyone asked her for some advice on them.

Which has happened in the past of course, where someone had asked for advice on which books to read to get a better grasp on a subject. Of course when that came up, she had to ask Aarti of course, though of course she got a mini lecture out of it. But she didn’t mind, it was an enjoyable time either way. She got to spend time with her friend, work on the school paper, and got a bit of knowledge out of it. All in all, a win. Probably. Suzie isn’t so great at this thing.

Moving through the aisles of books, she began to peer over the spines and read the titles. Nothing screamed helpful just yet. Some were just plain old complicated. A handful were even in a foreign language, what’s the deal with that? Didn’t make sense to the Hufflepuff girl. All seemed so overly complicated. But still she persisted with her searching. Picking up books that she thought might be helpful, she started to bring them with her as she moved through the many aisles of the Hogwarts’ library. Might take her the better part of the afternoon just gathering up a decent selection of books.

Once Suzie had a fair selection of books, she moved out into the open and looked for a table. Which proved to be harder this year compared to recent ones, with all the new students running about and taking up all the tables. But that’s fine, she has nothing against that. Now she is just going to wander the library, looking for a place to sit down and begin skimming the books. Hopefully it wouldn’t take too long. It would be tiresome - not to mention boring - just walking around carrying all these books.

Some would suggest to just check out these books, take them someplace where she could sit down and maybe take some notes in peace. But the thought never came across her mind, and so she continued her searching. Her feet seemed to ache, and she began to hunger. “Urgh, I just want to sit down.” she mumbled to herself, mostly just to vocalize her frustrations. If this kept going, she felt like she might break down crying. Sometimes the drama queen appeared from deep within, and she blew things out of proportion. She felt one of those moments coming.

Luckily, she didn’t have to walk much longer. A spot had just opened up across the hall. Suzie started to walk at a brisk pace, hoping to get over there in time to claim the spot before somebody else got there. Why didn’t they add more tables in the library? Wouldn’t it be better if they added in more tables? Such wisdom she has, much intelligence. As she approached the table, she grinned and let out a laugh - which is followed up by some shushing from the tables around her - she placed her books onto the table and took a seat.

Settling into her seat, she gazed upon the books she had collected over her afternoon searching. “Now, which one to start with?”
