BIG UPDATE AHEAD! First things first - the Fall 2021-Spring 2022 school year is officially over! Effective June 17, 2022 (IC), students are out for summer break. Please be sure to visit the 2022 SCHOOL YEAR ADVANCEMENTS & GRADUATIONS thread to either advance your student up to the next year, get held back, or graduate into their field of choice! Additionally, if you're interested in a Quidditch, Prefect, Representative, or Head position, be sure to reply to the FALL '22-SPRING '23 STUDENT POSITIONS APPLICATION thread!

Students need not head back home just yet - the school boards have all come together to throw a end-of-the-year carnival/festival that spans from the Friday evening until Sunday afternoon (June 17th-19th, 2022). Students will then be transported back to their respective schools and may head home from there.

Additionally, the ICW has made an official PRESS RELEASE regarding the 2022 Quidditch World Cup, which will be held next month in Jamaica! Details on the festivities leading up to and surrounding this wizarding worldwide event can be found in the press release. Quidditch players wishing to be signed to the national teams competing in the Quidditch World Cup are encouraged to sign up HERE!

New Posts Dungeons
Located beneath the castle are the cold, dusty, and dark dungeons. Down here, notable points of interest include the Potions Classroom and Slytherin Common Room.

New Posts Basements
Despite resting beneath the castle, the basements of Hogwarts aren't nearly as drab or cold as the dungeons can be. An adventure down here can lead to the Hufflepuff Common Room, the Kitchens, or the Boathouse, where boats are docked after carrying incoming first years at the beginning of each school year.

New Posts Ground Floor
The first level of Hogwarts serves as a hub to the rest of the castle. Enter the front doors, grab a bite to eat in the Great Hall, meander down a hallway or two, and exit through the courtyard, if you so please.

New Posts First Floor
Littered with numerous classrooms, including the Defense Against the Dark Arts and History of Magic Classrooms, the first floor is frequently bustling with students during the daytime. Students requiring medical attention and their visitors can also be found on this floor. In the evening, with the exception of students meeting with the Gryffindor Head of House or girls needing to utilize the lavatory, a hush often falls over this level of the castle.

New Posts Second Floor
The majority of the second floor is empty, leaving it to be one of the less frequently visited floors. There is a corridor that extends towards other stairways (in the event that the moving staircase is perhaps grumpy and not in the mood to move); the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor's office can also be found up here.

New Posts Third Floor
Though the main attractions on the third floor are undoubtedly the Charms Classroom and the Library, the third floor is also where one can find the Armoury - and adjacent to that, the Trophy Room, where awards, trophies, and more are proudly boasted in enclosed display cases. A large, dusty book with a running list of the Castle's former Head Boys and Head Girls can also be found here.

New Posts Fourth Floor
One of the less-frequented floors of the castle, the fourth floor's claim to fame is the Restricted Section of the Library (which requires either a staff member's written approval to enter), a study area, and a storage closet. Rumor has it that there are some odd artifacts in the storage room…

New Posts Fifth Floor
For those more artistic students, the fifth floor is quite a special place. Not only is there an Art Classroom up here, but a Music Room, as well. There are a few other empty classrooms, as well as the Prefects' bathroom.

New Posts Sixth Floor
Beginning on the sixth floor, students and staff alike can begin to ascend towards some of the castle's towers. On the sixth floor itself, a variety of classrooms can be accessed, including the one where Ancient Runes is taught. In addition, there are a few offices for staff members to slip into and take a quick break if they so wish.

New Posts Seventh Floor
Similar to the sixth floor, the seventh floor provides numerous points of access to the towers above. On the seventh floor, one might find the Ravenclaw Head's of House's office, as well as the Divination Professor's office. Classrooms up here include Arithmancy and Divination. Rumor has it there is a secret room on this floor, but so many are never able to locate it…can you?

New Posts Towers
Sitting atop the castle proudly, a variety of locations can be found in each of the grand spires. The Astronomy Tower is a quite popular destination, though so are the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Towers, each holding within the Common Rooms and dormitories for their houses, respectively.
